CIMSpy Standard Edition Download
Requirements:
As a stand-alone DHTML client application, CIMSpy Standard Edition runs in Internet Explorer 5+ on a PC,
not requiring an Internet connection. In addition, the OWL Validation function requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5.0 or up to be
installed, and the XSD Validation relies on the Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) 6.0.
These basic requirepments are normally supported in most PCs. If your PC is not equiped with these components, you can always install them for free.
Steps for Installation and Testing:
- Download the latest version of CIMSpy2.2 (Please note: CIMSpy Standard Edition is an open source under GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE. By downloading this tool, you have agreed on the GNU Copyright TERMS.)
- Unzip the package to a local directory at your PC, making sure all of the local directories of CIMSpy are maintained.
- Double click the CIMSpy.htm file. If Microsoft Internet Explorer is the selected Web browser, the CIMSpy Page should be displayed.
- If IE blocks display of the page, click "Allow Blocked Contents...".
- The package comes with two test CIM/XML files. File testcim.xml contains a full test model , while incremental.xml is an incremental model update. Errors are intentionally added to these model files for validation purpose. Once the page is displayed, click the Browse buttons and select test model files.
- Click the Input button. You are ready for CIM model exploration.
- If you are unable to load your CIM/XML files, this is because you IE has strict security settings, not allowing to load local file into IE. While you can always lower your IE security settings to load your CIM/XML files into CIMSpy, this practice is NOT recommended.
